A wonderful example of an antique native crafted bear paw style snowshoe. These snowshoes are crafted in the unique beavertail style found amoung the Cree, Montagnais, Naskapi and Innu Natives. Finely woven bibiche (strips of winter-tanned hide) and/or sinew (dried tendons) likely from caribou or raindeer.
