A very handsome set of vintage downhill skis from Sears brand JC Higgins. These skis feature a combination of leather and metal bindings.
Notice the unique tapered wood above and below the Harvey Dodd bindings. This ski design is referred to as “Ridgetop”, as it helped stabilize the ski from chattering during high speed Schusses.
