Antique Native American snowshoes are difficult to find with the fine weaving intact. One tail has broken off of these – likely from skimming down the hill on the tails, just like this picture from the Canadian archives. These have original red pom poms on the side indicating the makers tribe, and also used to hold “scent” – masking the hunters own presence in the woods. Old leather bindings, but may not be the original. This fine weave snowshoes would look great on your wall.
